"Just A Thought"

   from Judy Odell

Five Penny Millionaire Treasure Box

New Nashville show release!!!!

Available soon from your favorite needlework shop.

Cost:  $23.50

Available in PDF format - only from JAT ...me!

Available in paper chart format from

Needle Work Shops only.

Available from JAT as a separate purchased kit: large ring, a Perfect Curved Needle, sharp finishing needle, beading needle and six sheets of  Acid free cardboard to complete this project.  $15.00 plus shipping.

I used 28 count linen on this model.  You can choose any linen you prefer.  Change the color if you choose.

Mix and match linen colors.  But I would strongly advise you use only 28 count linen to make sure the little penny pockets fit the penny card.

I used DMC floss but of course it is your choice what fibers you prefer to use.  Two packs of Mill Hill Magnifica glass beads were also used.

I used approximately 14 yards of Vickie Clayton's overdyed ribbon and approximately 1 yard of decorative fabric.

You will also need approximately 1/2 yard of cotton batting or other light weight batting.  (I use Warm and Natural cotton batting but this is certainly my own personal choice.)

Changes: I designed this treasure box with changes in mind.  Changes you get to make.  It will be so easy to change the different stitches used.  Very few colors are used and you will be guided through any changes you may want to make.

I will love to see how your treasure box is unique to your choices but for those that want to focus on the design as it is I have added my personal choices in the chart for you.

Rewards program: Any stitcher that completes this project, as designed, at any time, will receive a $20.00 rewards credit that can be used towards the purchase of any retail purchase directly from Just A Thought....me!

REMEMBER;  With just five pennies, if they're these five pennies, you'll be a millionaire

To order this PDF just click on "order" and fill out the order form.  You will receive a Paypal invoice via email.

More information about the rewards program is located on the JAT message board.

A little extra information in case you are not tired of reading:  This design was inspired by the 1959 move "Five Pennies" staring Danny Kaye.  Those of you that are old enough will probably remember it.

Five Pennies Lyrics

This little penny is to wish on, and make your wishes come true.

This little penny is to dream on, to dream of all you can do.

This little penny is a dancing penny.  See how it glitters and it glows.

As bright as a whistle, light as a thistle.  Quick, quick as a wink up

     on it's twinkling toes.

This little penny is to laugh on, to see that tears never fall.

This little penny is the last little penny but most important of all.  For

this penny is to love on and where love is Heaven is there.

So with just five pennies, if their these five pennies, you'll be a

Millionaire.
